Therapeutic Exercises
APPOINTMENTTherapeutic exercises are an important part of your pet’s rehabilitation program. Whether your pet is injured, managing arthritis, trying to lose weight, or an athlete conditioning for sports, the use of therapeutic exercises will help aid your pet’s recovery.
Therapeutic exercise programs increase joint mobility, muscle flexibility, strength, balance, and endurance. Canine therapeutic exercises were developed and adapted from those used in human physical therapy. At our facility, we utilize FitPAWS® equipment such as peanut-shaped stability balls, balance discs, wobble boards,
Our certified canine rehabilitation practitioners can develop a customized exercise plan for your pet’s specific needs. Each plan is designed with your pet in mind and includes a variety of exercises to prevent patient boredom. Having your exercise sessions monitored by a trained professional ensures that your pet is performing the exercises correctly. It also allows us to increase the intensity, frequency, and duration of the exercises at the proper time so that your pet is progressing in his or her recovery/conditioning program.
